Instrumental Lessons in Full Swing at Bellahouston Academy
nstrumental and vocal lessons are now in full swing at Bellahouston Academy! From pupils taking their first steps to returning musicians developing their skills, it is great to have music-making firmly back in our weekly routine.
Through Glasgow’s CREATE Instrumental Music Service, pupils access free specialist tuition across a range of instruments and voice. Our instructors support pupils with technique, musical understanding and performance skills, helping them build confidence as they progress.
Learning an instrument takes patience, practice and commitment. Each lesson gives pupils something to work towards, whether that is mastering a tricky passage, improving their sound or preparing to perform with others. Regular practice between lessons helps turn those small steps into lasting progress.
Lessons also connect to the wider musical life of our school. Our bands, ensembles and concerts give pupils opportunities to put their learning into practice, work as a team and share their achievements with an audience.
A reminder to pupils to check their lesson timetable, bring their instrument and music, and let their class teacher know when they are due to attend. Families can help by encouraging a regular practice routine at home and taking an interest in what their young musician is learning.
Thank you to our instrumental instructors for their work with our pupils, and to families for supporting practice and participation.
