At Bellahouston Academy, we are proud to offer a rich and inclusive instrumental music programme as part of our Performing Arts faculty.
Learning a musical instrument brings a wide range of benefits – it builds confidence, improves focus and discipline, develops creativity, and supports wellbeing. It also encourages teamwork, resilience, and self-expression – all skills that support wider learning and life beyond school.
Instrumental lessons are completely free of charge, and we provide free loan of orchestral instruments to pupils who need them. Lessons take place once a week during class time and are half a period long. To make sure pupils don’t miss the same subject each week, all lessons run on a rotating timetable.
Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or continuing from primary, our experienced instructors will guide and support you every step of the way.
